Tre dipendenti di una rivista con sede a Seattle - la stagista Darius, il suo collega Arnau e il redattore Jeff - decidono di partire alla volta di una cittadina costiera per andare alla scoperta del misterioso ed eccentrico autore di un insolito annuncio. Entrano così in contatto con Kenneth, impiegato di supermercato simpatico e un po' paranoico, che crede di aver risolto l'enigma per viaggiare nel tempo e si propone di ripartire al più presto...
