Sull'antico maniero di Dartmoore grava un'antica e terribile leggenda. Secondo la credenza popolare, un mastino, una specie di "furia indemoniata" si accanisce sui discendenti dei Baskerville con l'unico scopo di eliminarli. Quando Sir Henry riceve in eredità il castello, capisce che potrebbe trattarsi di qualcosa di più di una semplice leggenda popolare.
