Nick Chapman, dopo aver terminato gli studi in una scuola cinematografica, presenta un cortometraggio vincendo un premio speciale. Questo gli dà abbastanza prestigio da fare il film da lui sempre sognato nella mitica Hollywood. Lo Studio di Allen Habel è interessato a lui, ma Nick rifiuta perchè sedotto da Hollywood.
